Shoulder abduction splint; 45? or 30? abduction

Indications

reconstruction after rotator cuff ruptures
immobilisation after shoulder prosthesis implantation
conservative or post-operative treatment after subacromial bursitis
partial ruptures of the rotator cuff after acromioplasty
relaxation of the ventral limbus and of the capsule components after open and arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation
conservative immobilisation of shoulder luxations / locations

Mode of action

lateral positioning with anatomically shaped and fitted cushion to relieve the ventral limbus and the capsule
30? or 45? abduction position to avoid adhesions to axillary recess (frozen shoulder)
secure fixation of the shoulder joint due to additional upperarm pad
post-operative, active and passive mobilisation of hand, wrist and elbow joint
early functional after care; enhances post-operative physiotherapy
